What’s going on in the Austin market?

It’s the end of summer, and kids are going back to school. For the first time in a while, we’re seeing resistance in the market. Since 2012, we’ve been seeing a steady but constant rise of about 5% to 8% per year. This summer, however, we saw a slight change. The higher-priced areas in Austin aren’t doing as well as we expected because sales have slowed down.

The cause of this change is affordability. Home prices are stretched to the max, and buyers have gotten more resistant, with many of them now back on the fence. This resistance has had an overall stabilizing effect on the market. In some cases, it’s even trending downward.

Affordability has caused the market to slow down.

Now, for some better news: I have a gift I want to share with you. It’s a songbook I’ve created that you can use to sing at family gatherings. I filled the book with songs that my own family used to sing during our get-togethers. To receive this songbook, just visit my website and send me your name and email.

If you or anyone else you know needs help buying or selling a house, please don’t hesitate to give me a call or send me an email. I look forward to helping, and I hope you enjoy the free songbook.
