Today, we want to discuss inspections, a vitally important aspect of the buying and selling process.

When we purchase a home in Austin, the contracts are written to protect the buyer. We work very hard to ensure the buyer’s interests are protected, particularly in certain areas of town and in certain situations. Our goal in real estate is to always position our buyers to win in real estate – to not only get a great house, but a great investment as well – and we prepare our sellers to win as well by helping them address problems before buyers find them, among other things.

Inspectors in Texas are licensed by the Texas Real Estate Commission, and have been fingerprinted and given a background check, so you don’t have to worry about them coming into your home and doing something they shouldn’t. It’s a highly regulated and standardized process to make sure buyers and sellers alike are protected.bob guest pullquote

The main job of an inspector is to ensure there are no structural problems with the house. They will check for safety issues, ensure the home is child-friendly, and that there are no defects that could cost the buyer a lot of money down the road. We fight our battles very carefully, we always try to negotiate for the best deal possible up front, and the battles we fight after the inspection are more particular, and we’ll go over them in more detail in person.

If you would like more details about the inspection process, or how we can help you win in real estate as a buyer OR seller, give us a call or shoot us a quick email. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
