Solutions to your Buyer Horror Stories

When we talk about buyer “horror stories”, we are talking about unfortunate situations that buyers get themselves into for one reason or the other. Most of the horror stories we have heard about come down to 3 things: shoddy repairs, false disclosures, and when buyers talk to the other party without telling us first.

Shoddy repairs happen. It’s a fact of life. One time we had a house that was repaired with paper mache. We have had plumbing repairs cause flooding. We have been able to fix these problems due to our extensive network of service providers and the fact that we are always looking in to every detail of a home before you buy it.

The biggest horror stories are often due to misunderstandings, where a buyer will talk to a seller and negotiate a repair without our knowledge, then concessions are negotiated but not put into a contract. We try to avoid this situation whenever we can. We always have your back on any negotiation.

In nearly all of these cases, we’ve been able to work these issues out for the buyer.
