Today, I want to take a moment to update you on what’s going on in our October real estate market.
People have once again been asking if we’re experiencing or expecting a shift. Right now, we can see from the current statistics that there is no shift in the market.
The reason for this is that sales are as good as they’ve ever been. This is despite low inventory. In fact, we have 20% less inventory than last year, including new constructions.
There’s a lot of demand for housing in the Austin area, so the market won’t shift or go down any time soon.
“This is the time of year, I tend to try to buy houses myself. “
In the last four or five years, we’ve seen 8% appreciation like clockwork. This occurs at the same time every year, so positioning yourself to make the most money is key.
Right now, we are seeing a little bit of a seasonal shift, but this is completely normal. As the holidays approach every year, there are simply fewer sellers on the market.
Nevertheless, the buyers and sellers that are on the market are much more motivated. This means it’s still a great time to buy or sell. This is the time of year I tend to try to buy houses myself.
If you have any other questions or would like more information, feel free to give me a call or send me an email. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
